New Zealand prides itself as one of the few countries in the world with an incredibly wide range of natural resources and wonderful attractions. One of the country’s most unique natural wonders are the famous glow-worm caves, magical tree walk and geothermal hot springs.

Day 1: Waitomo Glowworm Cave and Te Puia Geothermal Valley

One of the country’s most unique natural wonders are the famous glow-worm caves. Discover all that Waitomo has to offer with this super scenic cave experience, where you’ll discover the most breathtaking, magical caves in Waitomo and in New Zealand. Don’t miss experiencing the incredible Rotorua geothermal parks, one of the most unique things to do in Rotorua. The city’s unique location means that it’s perched on the pacific rim of fire, making the city and the region a wonderland of geothermal activity. From bubbling mud pools and clouds of steam, to shooting geysers and natural hot springs, the thermal parks in Rotorua gives you the opportunity to see these other-worldly geothermal attractions.

Extra Activity/Add-On (Optional) - Polynesian Spa

Enhance your glorious valley experience by escaping to Polynesian Spa and unlock nature’s gift in Rotorua. Your soul will thank you for it.

Nestled on the shores of lake Rotorua lies Polynesian Spa, a geothermal bathing and soul soothing retreat, where you can experience wellness sourced from Rotorua’s very own backyard.  Channeling the geothermal marvels in its backyard, waters from two natural springs are fed into the 28 hot mineral pools at Polynesian Spa. The slightly acidic priest spring relieves tired muscles, aches and pains while the alkaline waters of the Rachel spring nourish skin. After the therapeutic spa, relax at our overnight stay in Rotorua.

Day 2: Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland and Redwoods Treewalk

Experience a land where myth and legend come to life, where the earth boils, mud heals, and steam disappears into the clouds above with majesty and magic, the Redwoods tree walk experience is truly a walk to remember. Discover an area which has been sculptured by geothermal activity for over thousands of years, and see unique volcanic features, geysers and more! Then we head on to our next hot spot situated only 5-minutes’ drive from downtown Rotorua is the magnificent Redwood forest – home to the Redwoods Treewalk, a Rotorua must do! The Redwoods Treewalk is a fun family activity that is affordable, easily accessible, and kind to the trees. Regarded by many as one of the best walks in Rotorua.
