Northland Explorer Experience

A very eclectic collection of sculptures laid out in a garden trail in a rural setting makes this place an ideal getaway location from Auckland. Spend an amazing day exploring beautiful gardens filled with unique sculptures, art galleries & then visit a boutique vineyard to taste premium selection of wines.

Sculptureum

The Sculptureum is made up of three sculpture filled gardens, six indoor art galleries and offers the perfect landscape to host team building activities or unique pre/post conference experiences.

The Sculptureum experience takes around 2-3 hours to complete and has something for everyone. One minute you’re admiring a Picasso and just around the corner you’ll stumble upon a piece by an unnamed artist. The collection is that of Auckland based Barristers Anthony and Sandra Grant who wanted to share their passion and give everyone the opportunity to experience art in a different environment than a typical gallery or museum. There is just over 2km of beautifully manicured paths and while summer is the most colourful time of year to experience Sculptureum, each season reveals something new to admire.

The restaurant, with it's open air dining, is perfect for a leisurely lunch with a great wine selection to pair with some amazing combinations coming out of the kitchen. The menu is inspired by the sea and fertile land that surrounds the property. Much like the gardens, Rothko’s menu changes with each season to embody the fresh flavours of the region. An art and food experience wouldn’t be complete without a glass of wine.

Weather-permitting; we begin our premium wine tasting tour among the vines before moving into the winery. Inside the Winery, we continue our tasting of six premium wines accompanied with small bites. We then proceed to our overnight stay in Paihia, Bay of Islands

Cape Reinga & 90 Mile Beach

Discover the unique history, culture and landscape of New Zealand's Far North on a day trip to Cape Reinga and Ninety Mile Beach. A trip to Bay of Islands is not complete without a journey to the very top of the North Island – Cape Reinga (Te Rerenga Wairua). Drive along the shores of Ninety Mile Beach as the waves crash beside the custom-built coach. Feel the sand between your toes as you help your driver guide dig for shellfish (conditions permitting).

Visit Cape Reinga and hear the stories of this significant site where, according to Māori legend, spirits depart on their journey home to Hawaiki. Enjoy spectacular panoramic views, visit the iconic lighthouse, and see the point where the Tasman Sea and the mighty Pacific Ocean come crashing together. During your Cape Reinga tour you'll also experience another Kiwi icon: a lunch of delicious fish and chips at the historic Wagener Museum at Houhora. Upon return from Cape Reinga, overnight stay in Paihia.

Bay of Islands

Start a splendid day by visting the stunning Hole in the Rock Dolphin cruise experience and continue to historical sites of New Zealand’s Northland, Waitangi Treaty Grounds.

On this half-day Bay of Islands catamaran tour, cruise through the famous “Hole in the Rock.” Relax while your captain expertly navigates the islands, secluded beaches, and rocky promontories. Look for dolphins, penguins, and sea birds en route to the Cape Brett Lighthouse and the famous 'Hole in the Rock'.

Hole in the Rock Dolphin Cruise

This is the most popular dolphin watching cruise in the Bay of Islands, and for good reason! Board your cruise in Paihia or Russell and take in the stunning views as we glide out through the islands and along the Rakaumangamanga Peninsula to Cape Brett, where a historic lighthouse keeps watch over and Piercy Island/Motukōkako, or as it is popularly known the ‘Hole in the Rock’.

Find a comfortable seat on the deck of the catamaran and settle in for your half-day scenic tour. This high-speed cruise allows you to experience multiple attractions in the Bay of Islands in a single trip, which tours on slower boats can’t manage. As you travel, enjoy in-depth commentary about the area’s geology, environment, Maori heritage, flora, and fauna from your guide. Keep an eye out for dolphins, whales and other marine life during your cruise, and have your camera ready as we get you up close to the action.

Waitangi Treaty Grounds

Discover the story of New Zealand’s history and the story of two peoples coming together as one under the Treaty of Waitangi, Te Tiriti o Waitangi, at this award-winning national attraction.

Waitangi Treaty Grounds offers an authentic and inspiring cultural experience that encompasses powerful Māori cultural performances in a beautifully carved meeting house, a contemporary award-winning museum and visitor centre, lush native forest and gardens, interactive carving studio, traditional Māori waka (canoe) and hāngi (traditional feast), entertaining guided tours and more, overlooking the stunning Bay of Islands.

Take a walk through New Zealand’s history on an informative guided tour of the expansive Treaty Grounds with one of our friendly, experienced local guides. Discover the amazing stories, people and events that shaped the past, present and future of Aotearoa New Zealand.

Visit the world’s largest ceremonial war canoe, view the historic Treaty House and Meeting House, and stand on the spot where New Zealand’s founding document, the Treaty of Waitangi, was first signed in 1840. All tours include a personal audio device, allowing you to clearly follow the fascinating stories as they are told by your guide.

After you finish your amazing Northland Explorer Experience, we make our way through the scenic roads of Northland back to Auckland city.
