The Bay of Islands is an island paradise comprising of 144 Islands and a handful of historic towns. The stunning scenery, golden beaches and fresh seafood make it one of the most prominent tourist destinations in New Zealand. The Bay of Islands has a long, fascinating and often wild history and is also home to several historical attractions such as the Mission House and the Waitangi Treaty grounds, the birthplace of the nation. Located just over three hours from Auckland by road, in the ‘winterless north’, the year-round warm weather makes it a popular destination.

Embark on a voyage of discovery and enjoy the beauty of this area. Cruise along this historic path to remote beaches and bays, through the sheltered waters of the Bay of Islands on our purpose built dolphin and whale watching catamaran. This is the most popular dolphin watching cruise in the Bay of Islands, and for good reason! Board your cruise in Paihia and take in the stunning views as we glide out through the islands and along the Rakaumangamanga Peninsula to Cape Brett, where a historic lighthouse keeps watch over and Piercy Island/Motukōkako, or as it is popularly known the ‘Hole in the Rock’. Enjoy the large outdoor viewing decks as we cruise past the islands of the Bay. Keep a look out for common and bottlenose dolphins, whales and other marine life, have your camera ready as we get you up close to the action. Hot and cold refreshments are available for purchase on board, meals & snacks can be purchased on our stop at Urupukapuka Island or feel free to bring your own.

Within a 5 minute drive, The Waitangi Treaty Grounds are an absolute must-do when you are in the Bay of Islands – rich in history and stories of the momentous events which shaped our nation. Take time to wander through the beautiful grounds of the Waitangi estate, complete with extensive gardens, bush tracks, beaches, and fabulous views over the Bay of Islands and beyond.   • A full commentary is provided by your skipper. A limited number of multi-lingual headsets are available in German, French and Mandarin Chinese.
